Self-instruction helps in orienting, organizing and structuring behavior. Self-instructions improve learning and are essential for self-regulation. For a learner it is important that the teacher provides the necessary support. This makes students aware of their own learning process. As a teacher it is important to support oneself.
In the second year they write their letter to Sinterklaas every year. To support the self-instruction, the teacher has created a writing key. The key contains elements about which and how the pupil writes with an accompanying control by himself and the teacher. Finally, the teacher pays extra attention to things that can be done better and to elements that have been done well. Important elements for the motivation of the pupils.
The writing key can be used in primary education, adapted to the level of the pupils.
